hello my friends-i am too weak to type correctly. God has been good to me again. I had gotten out of Lake Forest on 9/24, and on9/29 I went to my doctor's office to get my first chemo. while there I became very short of breath and was sent by ambulance to Condell. I just got discharged Thurs. I have to get 20 outpatient radiation treatments--I have 14 left. I was breathing with one lung. They're trying to shrink the tumor so that I can have some relief in breathing. I feel terrible, but I'm alive. My throat is raw so I have to be very careful of what I eat. I had 7 doctor's working on me. I ended up in ICU and the doctor told my family that I had a 50-50 chance of survival but God broke the tie. I've thought about all of you. I was told things were going to get worse but I'm not afraid. I have visiting Nurses and will have my own personal "bath" person. well, with God's help I'm going to fight this fight so that the devil will continue to be a LIAR

So good to hear from you BlackDiamond! I think of you often, and remember you in prayer. I pray that God gives you strength to continue fighting this cancer & that he gives you great comfort when in pain. Hey there BD! I'm praying for you every day, and know you will beat this. Let me know if there is anything I can do for you...anything at all!! Stock up on lots of Jell-O, it'll fill you up and also won't hurt your throat. Please keep us all posted on your progress...We're all rooting for you, girl!!
