College Studies Program Information Night - janespeak - 02-06-2009

The Waukegan Public School District #60 invites all of the Waukegan community, parents, and especially, parents of future ninth grade students to attend an informational night regarding Waukegan High School’s College Studies Program. The district offers this program of study, as one of many programs, as a means to assist students by preparing them to excel in their college experiences. The forum will discuss, in detail, the best ways for students to prepare for a successful college experience as they enter their early years at Waukegan High School.

While the main focus of the forum will be on the College Studies Program, school and district representatives will also be on hand to include information about other premier programs being offered at Waukegan High School. Details about the forum are as follows:

Invitees: All Parents and Community Members. Parents of future ninth grade students.

When: Wednesday, February 11, 2009

Where: Trapp Auditorium, Waukegan High School, Brookside Campus

Time: 7:00 P.M.

This was a well-attended event, but concerned parents need to be vigilant about what proposed administrative changes may do to the rigors of this program. Never assume you can let your guard down with this district. Never.
