Governor of Illinois - Blackdiamond - 12-31-2008

Not only can't I pronounce his name, I can't spell it either. How was he able to appoint anyone to President-Elect Obama's seat in the Senate? Maybe its because he hasn't been un-seated? I watched it on T.V., and I was wishing someone would tell Bobby Rush to shut his mouth. He sounded like he was on some personal campaign. What does he do anyway?

Anybody hear anything about David Axelrod & Valerie Jarrett (White House Advisory Staff) getting subpoeanas in the Blago hearings?
Hmmm. This might get interesting.

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - Gov. Rod Blagojevich was thrown out of office Thursday without a single lawmaker rising in his defense, ending a nearly two-month crisis that erupted with his arrest on charges he tried to sell Barack Obama's vacant Senate seat.

Blagojevich becomes the first U.S. governor in more than 20 years to be removed by impeachment.

After a four-day trial, the Illinois Senate voted 59-0 to convict him of abuse of power, automatically ousting the second-term Democrat. In a second, identical vote, lawmakers further barred Blagojevich from ever holding public office in the state again.

I did like it when he gave free riding for Senior Citizens on the RTA and Busses. I wonder if this new person takes that away? I feel so ashamed about what he did, and then I felt sorry for him.

Re: Governor of Illinois - marshmellow - 01-30-2009

The hypocrisy on show in Springfield was something else.

All these politicians who cozied up to Blago and made deals with him. The ones who supported this egotistical jerk ever since he was first elected. Now they are 'disgusted' with how he ran the office?

'It takes two to tango', the old saying goes. Blago's dance partners should be named and also thrown out of office.

Marshmellow, you are absolutely correct-I bet some more names will come up besides T.L. I don't like crooks, even if they are Republicans  (Joking)
