Don't call the police, call your alderman - frankiegirl - 06-18-2010 Just wondering if anyone else has been told by police non-emergency to call you alderman about a problem because they were too short handed due to budget cuts to come. Re: Don't call the police, call your alderman - guest300 - 06-18-2010 Makes sense. Why involve the Police for a non-emergency? Re: Don't call the police, call your alderman - kellyann1293 - 06-18-2010 Noise complaints, open-air drug markets, large unruly crowds, suspicious activity, lots of things need police intervention, it's just not an emergency worthy of a 9-1-1 call. Re: Don't call the police, call your alderman - Blackdiamond - 06-18-2010 Call Kellyann--she has a house full of "gang bangers". :o  Re: Don't call the police, call your alderman - frankiegirl - 06-18-2010 Update: Tenpas did show up today, then later narcotics and many police. Arrests were made and my neighbor received a call from police to update him on what they had done. Solved for the moment....once again, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. If you sit silent at home and do nothing, nothing will change. Be vocal and be vigilant! Fight these thugs and things might just get better. |
