Or, they could educate themselves here. http://www.texaspolicy.com/pdf/2009-08-RR03-HSR-rotoole.pdf. That's if you can dedicate 30 minutes of your valuable time to read something EDUCATIONAL. Harold BeadlingThe "study" was done by The Texas Public Policy Institute. An organization that was started by James R. Leininger, a man who has spent millions of $$$ and a lifetime trying to interfere with other people lives, trying to impose his personal beliefs on everyone else. Considering his political nature I would tend to not trust that such a study would be unbiased. I have no use for such people. That was a beautiful video and I saw some Projects (low income housing) so I know you have a "South Side" Your City looks like something like out of a dream. Im just a plain person so my comments/questions do not take as much thought as my friends. Your Mayor was wearing an impressive "necklace". Is it valuable? Is your weather similar to ours? (OK, I'm wearing you out now). What's the crime rate? Respond whenever you can, I'll be waiting. Hey there BlackDiamond. The necklace my mayor wears is his coat of office. It is something every mayor in my country wears, the neclakce symbolizes the city's coat of arms and all the surrounding communities. (it is not valuable in the form of money, but more of symbolical value) The weather is sometimes like yours, in the winter we had alot of snow, but mostly we have a lot of rain, and very warm, but moist summers. Our climate is moslty influenced by the North Sea. The crime rate? Depends on what crime you would like to focus? There are many things going on. So you have to be more specific! For all the others, I hereby extend an invitation for all to come to my country and se for yourself how things are done here. I know that the US and The Netherlands are two very different countries, but we shold co-operate and learn from eachother instead of splitting hairs Re: I was wondering... - Historian Frank - 02-25-2010 I'm going to take you up on that one day. Your country is on my must-see list...I hope you like to party because we are going to get after it. Tell me what the young adults do in your land. Re: I was wondering... - Dennis_Ista - 02-25-2010 They love to gout dining and partying at a bar or dancing. Some love to go and drive go-karts, or do some lasergaming. Many things to do!!! Re: I was wondering... - Blackdiamond - 02-25-2010 I don't know why I was thinking you were living in Heaven and there was no crime. Do you have ghetto's? I'd come there if I could ride a bus. Sorry, no flying for me. Do you have a family, i.e., wife, kids, etc.? You sound like a very happy and content person. Talk at you later. Re: I was wondering... - goodintentions - 02-25-2010 Blackdiamond, I am totally enjoying your interview of Dennis. You may be the next Barbara Walters!!!! :-) Re: I was wondering... - Danno - 02-25-2010 goodintentions Wrote:Blackdiamond, BlaBlaDiDi ? Hey there No, I live on my own, although I am seeing someone. I hope that we can come together and live together as a family. My mom and dad are also alive, and they live close by. Sad you cannot come over, but a bus connection is not yet present at this time, maybe in the future, when they discover how to build a bridge between the US and the UK. I will be waiting for your reply Re: I was wondering... - Blackdiamond - 02-26-2010 ROFLMAO : (in case you don't know what that means, its: rolling on the floor laughing my ar$$ off. lol: ok, Danno and Intentions---get me a Studio. Hey Ista, you still haven't said whether or not you have a ghetto or low income housing. food stamps, etc.( A lot of healthy young people, who could work, abuses the System. I worked for atleast 50yrs and got no assistance. It burns me up that these young girls get pregnant, get housing, food and medical care, (to include former drug users )are getting all or most of everything FREE. I WORKED SO THAT THEY CAN SIT ON THEIR A$$. (I've got to close because I am working myself into a panic attack). :x PS-I know a woman , a former addict who plays like she's crazy, she's 50yrs old ,and gets MEDICARE. Re: I was wondering... - Dennis_Ista - 02-28-2010 Hey BlackD No, we do not have Ghetto's, there are NO food stamps. We do have some low income housing, but those houses are moslty in the what we call "People's Neighbourhoods" or "Volksbuurt" in Dutch. When you have no work or income, we have something called "Governmental Welfare" (Bijstand) in which you get a monthly fund from the government, which equals about 1336.65 US Dollars However, you ARE required by law to turn over your financial data every month for scrutiny by the insitution that governs your welfare. If you have earned money, be it taxd or untaxed, they will know or find out and cut you off the program and fine you in the process. I have never been in there, sinds I have a job and earn my money by working hard. |
