please remember that you can listen to all the candidates (excluding mayor hyde) interviews on the CREW website. all candidates were asked the exact same questions. it is a wonderful way to compare information.

WkgnBorn&Raised' Wrote:Yes. Greg Flesher's wife works for the Portland Cement Association, but that is irrelevant. The city, like the nation, is in need of improved infrastructure and concrete is part of almost every kind of building. Keep in mind infrastructure is not just roads and bridges but schools, hospitals, and fire stations. Every city needs these things.

No one from the current City administration asked Greg Flesher to run. He is running for mayor because he wants the city he lives in, the city he was born in, to be the best in the area instead of the place to avoid.

You shouldn't be worried about the "best primary outcome for a Sabonjian win" and more concerned about who the best person is to lead the city through the current economic downturn and into the future.

To find out more about Greg Flesher’s plans for rebuilding Waukegan into a city were ALL business and industries thrive, check out http://www.FlesherForMayor.com.

Doesn't the fact that I want Sabonjian to win imply that I think he is the best person to lead the city?

I listened to Mr. Flesher's interview and I think he failed to show an intimate knowledge of where the problems and issues are rooted as they concern Waukegan. I think a realistic and in depth knowledge of the problem is prerequisite for the solution.

No knowledge of the problems = no effective solution.

Instead I saw some of the same old crap that is responsible for putting Waukegan in the abyss that it is in.

That being the motivation and use of public office to further ones own self interests. That became clear to me when Mr. Flesher continually talked about massive infrastucture projects that use Portland cement and then later revealing that his wife is employed with the Portland Cement Association.

Even his answer to fixing the hospital was simply to build a new hospital.

Sorry to bring the hard reality down on your man for mayor but I had my BS detector turned up on high when I was listening to the interviews.

Well said Danno...

Anyone who spends most of their time talking about the Democrats, and then acknowledges that they are only running as a Republican candidate in order to get elected, does not deserve to be taken seriously.
