How come the vast majority of those few Americans who call themselves "Tea Party" activists seem sooo angry and so white?

Because THEY ARE. CBS News/NY Times poll dated April 14, 2010 shows the overwhelming majority of those who call themselves "Tea Party" activists
are white, older and very, very angry.

Take a look and find out who these fringe extremists really are:

They hardly represent the great and extraordinary diversity of the American People. How so?? THEY ONLY REPRESENT a MERE 18% of the American People!!

66% have a favorable view of Sarah Palin, and 59% have a favorable view of Glen Beck. Get this... 57% even have a favorable view of former President Geoge W. Bush, in spite of his increasing our country's deficit, leading the way for rescuing the financial sector with TARP and commencing TWO unpopular and astronomically expensive ENDLESS wars, costing thousands of needless deaths of our brave and exceptional American military personnel !!!

92% believe that President Obama is changing the USA to a socialistic country, and a shocking 30% believe that President Obama was not born in the USA
and are avid BIRTHERS
(despite overwhelming uncontrovertible evidence to the contrary). ONLY 1% of "Tea Party" activists are black, and more than half at 54% say the are Republicans. Nearly three in four describe themselves as conservatives, and 39% say they are very conservative.

AND 53% of them, the majority, claim to be ANGRY about what they perceive is going down in Washington compared to only 19% of the rest of the American People.

No surprise, as the bizarre comments and totally warped perspectives of the "Tea Party" fringe here on this Forum certainly confirm what this poll so succinctly finds.

LOL, hard to accept the FACTS that you are in a very angry minority of American right-wing conservatives. Like a mere 18%!!

Yawn all you want, your "movement" is rejected by 82% of the great, diverse American People. Sure don't seem to attract many people of color, either.
1% and that is IT. Of course, why would any person of color want to hang out with a small bunch of angry, white, right-wing extremists anyway? They have
already been there and done that, and are not about to go back to those sorry days again.

WT, Why don't you watch the videos I posted on T.V and Movies, first. I attended the April 15th, 2010 TeaParty event in Washington D.C. and was inspired by the racially diverse speakers and their message. I wish you could have been there. The Reverend C.L. Bryant's closing speech brought me to tears. It made me proud to be an American. Don't be so close-minded, for we live in a great country that will begin the healing process after the November 2nd, 2010 election. Hang in there, better days are around the corner. God Bless America

I watched plenty about this "Tea Party" rally on MSNBC, CNN and FOX NEWS for a variety of perspectives on it. And I saw very few "people of color" in attendance along with mosty older whites who appeared to be very, very angry.

Just like the new CBS/New York Times poll reveals dated April 16, 2010 and which I discuss at great length above. Great you enjoyed yourself, at least somebody did.
