Hi guys, Sorry to ask, but the darn school doesn't know how to change my number after 3 attempts to tell them. Anyhow, I've heard there was a call that went out to parents stating something about a bomb threat at one of the High Schools for Friday. It's through the grapevine of a few friends of my daughter's, but all I can gather is if we want to keep our kids home it will be excused, otherwise the school will be on code yellow in the a.m. then code white later in the day? I didn't see anything on the website, but will be calling in the morning. In the meantime, was just wondering if any of you know exactly what's going on?? Thanks in advance....
According to the automated call I recieved, there is a bomb threat being investigated at East campus for Friday. The threat alledges a bomb will be detonated there on Friday. All precautional measures are being enforced, as the concerned voice assured. I think it is a young coward reaching out to be heard. I believe our admin is on top of it!
Hmmmmmmm, didn't get the bomb threat call. You'd think the staff would have the right to know about this as well.
I did on the other hand receive the call about personal information "in the hands of a Lake County resident and a former employee". Made it sound as if this information was stolen. As we all know here, this information was in fact released by LC to these people. According to a union generated email, it was the union that forced LC to inform us about the dissemination of private information.
Sorry to go off topic, but it makes you wonder about what else we do or do not know about.
Thanks again Snoops! Not that I don't trust what the kids tell me, I just want to verify it. (although I don't know if I trust what LC tells me all the time either!)

Security protocol is to take EVERY threat seriously until it can be proven to be a hoax.
From the sound of the Recorded Phone Message I received, from the "Concerned Voice", the threatening note was found VERY Recently, giving investigators Very Little Time to conduct ANY Sort of Investigation.
Sounds to me like the Admin. does not want kids staying home from school . . . Could it have ANYTHING to do with the fact that the District Loses Tax Money when a kid stays home???

All is well, nothing blew up and our children are okay. Share some of your concerns, though. The note did give them two days to prepare, though.
