Oh BD stop. Nobody is in any glory over someone dying. Was just pointing out the elephant in the room. That's all. BTW, wasn't a big fan of Bush either. Many in the GOP aren't very happy with him teeing up the election for B.O. to waltz right in. Bush set the GOP back a long way.

No, there is no glory here for anyone. I was just reacting to the overwhelming news coverage of this man. It seemed like he was being portrayed like a saint when we all know he was far from it.
He had a great musical career then after "Thriller" something happened to him. I don't know if he was mistreated as a kid or drugs took hold of him but he started changing and not for the better. He seemed to start to retreat back into childhood. I don't know if he wanted to relive his childhood and this time make it better or not. Sleeping with little boys when you are in your 40s is inexcusable, it doesn't matter if he wasn't hugged enough as a child or what drugs he was taking. He was a pedophile and to see all of these accolades thrown about just kind of bugged me.
I understand where you're coming from ,but when a "famous" person dies you don't hear about any wrongdoings. Elvis Presley was my idol, but after reading a book written by two of his former bodyguards, I cringed---"He didn't like to take showers"? Ugh---I've been to funerals where the person was a "gang banger", but that wasn't mentioned. Oh, I knew those children weren't Michael's because if a Latino, black, Asian, or any other race has a child/children with a white person, the dark genes will come out, i.e., curly hair, or their features will show the dominant race (ooops! sorry for the "dominant" word), but you know what I mean
Just like (mind is blank) the "Angel Lady", nothing is being said about she and Ryan's fights, or her alcohol/drug problems (that I've read about). I'll be glad when its all over--wonder what the News Media will have to talk about then?

I had her poster and I thought my parents threw it out but then my wife said no that she remembers it hanging in my first apartment when I moved out of the house. So now I know what happened to it. I NEVER would have thrown that out. My wife must have. :twisted:
I don't know about her drug use. I do remember her wacky interview on Letterman though. Farrah and Michael. Really apples and oranges again. Farrah was never accused of molesting little boys although when I was little I wouldn't have minded being molested by her :roll: But then we men are pigs. :mrgreen:

I was not being sarcastic. Your inclination to "blast me" only exposes your ignorance of the subject matter at hand. such practice is known as cosleeping and is common in many cultures. My intent was to go in the direction of such behavior merely being a cultural habit but after some reading I'll go a step further and say it is our western disapproval of such practice that is at the core of our tendency to dysfunction.

My conclusion is that a lot of our problems in our western society as a whole are rooted in this drive away from family values and toward individuality. Just look to the youth who gravitate toward street gangs to fulfill, in part, this desire for security of family. This emphasis on individuality in our western culture is a brief aberration when compared to the whole of human history. I'd say we are the screwed up ones. But that will be hard for some to see because of their inability to step outside the box that imprisons them.
