Very interesting! I just have a question regarding the people on the school board named as being allegedly involved in this. The dates mentioned in these allegations are prior to the school board election of April, 2007. Why are the newest members of the board included in this if they were not part of the board at the time the incidents allegedly occurred? What about McBride, Shipley and Reddick who WERE there? And it would have been under Shipley's stewardship as board president. So why are they not named?

You have an uphill battle, my friend. I wish you the best of luck.

It's about time there's a house cleaning at Lincoln Center, especially HR. Overtime issues and insurance issues have always been handled questionably in the district. In-house sub pay can also be added to the list. When you get cheated out of pay in this district, one HR employee lies about it, and the next one in line swears truth to the lie. Generally, you're 'screwed', or how we say in my building....."lowest man on the scrotum pole gets the shaft" Top echelon LC staff take, and take, and take. Meanwhile, those in the trenches doing the actual hands-on work of educating the kids, have to pour in their personal money (and time) just to keep their classrooms running on a day-to-day basis.

Thank you for taking a stand. By doing this you also represent those of us that are scared sh**less to stand up for our personal rights because of fear of retaliation on the job and/or losing our job in this economy.

(just a post script........I personally believe B Luosa is a competent employee and generally a nice/good man. I can't, even in my wildest dreams, imagine how a good person would react to the internal pressures that the "top dogs" must have put on him.)
Thank you, freedomisntfree, for your courage in bringing this information forward. Even though I'm a newer resident, I've heard whispers of power abuse and corruption from employees and neighbors regarding WPS. I've recently spoken to an employee from the Daily Herald, who stated he would pass your posting on to the proper investigative resources. I would be very interested in learning more about what WPS is doing, or not doing, with taxpayer money. Equally important is how they treat employees that should be valued instead of punished. Good luck to you, and I certainly hope that the SA office is taking this matter seriously. Thank you again.
